A unified initiative aimed at safeguarding our cultural heritage.
Every year, thousands of visitors pass through the Tuileries Gardens and have sat down on the benches that have experienced their fair share of experience since they were first created. The Louvre Museum is currently attempting to raise money through crowdsourcing to refurbish those benches.
Individuals and groups who appreciate the Tuileries Garden are encouraged to contribute by sponsoring one of the 165 available benches.

Reside at the Tuileries for a period of ten years!
These cast-iron benches were installed throughout the parks of the 1800s as part of Paris' art de vivre and have now become an icon of French life. There are two types of benches: one has a linear design that only allows for sitting on one side, while the other is double-sided with a lion paw claw foot, allowing for two people to sit at the same time facing each other.
Through a donation, you can help keep our community alive by working together with others to help restore 'donor benches' in Stein Park and throughout the Town. You may also choose to sponsor one of the 'donor benches' with your name or your family members name, or dedicate it as a gift or tribute to someone else through a donation of €5000. For a donation of €5000, you will receive a plaque attached to the back of the bench that you are sponsoring, which will be on the bench for a period of 10 years from the date of the donation. If you choose to do so, you may also collaborate with family and friends in sponsoring a bench.
By making a donation, you are actively contributing to the preservation of this verdant oasis established in the center of the capital nearly 500 years ago.
